An Online Notepad That Saves Everything as You Type
Daily Note is a simple, free online notepad for quick notes, to-do lists and rough drafts. Open it, start writing, and your words are kept on your device automatically. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
Everything you expect from a good notepad online
We kept the clean feel of the classic notepad and added the small things that make daily writing easier.
Autosave in real time
Every keystroke is saved to your device within a fraction of a second. Close the tab by accident and your note is still there when you come back.
Checklists that cross off
Press Ctrl+Enter to turn a line into a checkbox. Tick it and the line is struck through, so a to-do list is easy to follow.
Find and replace
Search your text, match case or whole words, and replace one result or all of them at once. Handy for cleaning up longer drafts.
Many notes, one place
Keep separate notes for work, study and shopping. Search them, pin the important ones and rename them whenever you like.
Works offline
After your first visit the notepad can open without a connection, and you can install it on your phone or desktop like an app.
Dark mode and fonts
Switch to a darker screen for late-night writing, pick a font and text size that suit your eyes, or go full screen to focus.
Download as text
Save any note as a plain .txt file, open existing text files, and keep a full backup of all your notes whenever you want.
Date, time and dividers
Insert the current date or time in one click, add a divider line, and see live word, character and line counts as you write.
How to use the online notepad
There is no setup. If you can type, you can use it.
- Open the notepad. Go to the online notepad page. A blank note is ready straight away.
- Start typing. Write anything. The status at the top shows "Saved" each time your text is stored.
- Organise if you want to. Add more notes from the side panel, turn lines into checkboxes, or use find and replace to tidy your text.
