1. Acceptance of these terms
By using dailynote.cc and the Online Notepad service (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Daily Note (“we”, “us”).
2. The service
Online Notepad is a free browser-based notepad. It lets you write, organise, search and export text notes, with autosave in your browser and optional offline use. We may add, change or remove features at any time. The Service is currently free, and we may change that in the future, with notice on this site.
3. Your notes and backups
- Your notes are stored in your browser on your device. We do not receive or keep a copy of them.
- Because of this, notes can be lost if you clear browser data, use a private or incognito window, switch browser or device, reset your device, or if your browser removes stored data.
- Notes do not sync between devices.
- You are responsible for keeping backups of anything important, for example with File → Backup all or Save as .txt.
- You keep all rights to the content you write. We do not claim any ownership of your notes.
- Please do not store passwords, payment card details or other highly sensitive information in the notepad.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful or to harm others;
- try to disrupt, overload, scan for weaknesses in, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its servers;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or stress the site in a way that affects other users;
- copy, resell or present our branding, design or code as your own, except where the law allows it; or
- use the Service in a way that infringes the rights of anyone else.
5. Ownership
The Service’s design, text, logo, code and branding belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended. They do not transfer any ownership to you.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or suitable for any particular purpose, or that your notes will never be lost. Browser behaviour differs between devices, and features such as offline use depend on your browser.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including the loss of notes stored in your browser. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Links to other sites
The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
10. Suspension and ending access
We may suspend or restrict access to the Service, or stop offering it, if needed to protect the site, comply with the law, or because of misuse. You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your data by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be settled informally will be subject to the courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, unless the law of your place of residence says otherwise.
