About Online Notepad
A simple, free online notepad that opens instantly, saves as you type, and keeps your notes on your own device.
Daily Note started with a small frustration. Most note apps want you to sign up, sync to a cloud and learn a new system before you can write a single line. Sometimes you only need a clean page for a phone number, a shopping list or a rough draft.
So we built the notepad we wanted to use: open the page, start typing, and your words are saved. There is no account to create and nothing to install.

No sign-up, no paywall for the basics, and no pop-ups blocking your writing.
What you can do with it
- Write notes that autosave within a fraction of a second.
- Keep several notes, search them, rename them and pin the important ones.
- Turn lines into checklists and tick them off as you go.
- Find and replace text, with match case and whole word options.
- Download a note as a .txt file, open text files, and back up all your notes in one file.
- Switch to dark mode, choose your font and size, or go fullscreen.
- Keep writing offline after your first visit, and install it like an app on your phone or computer.
Who it is for
Students taking class notes, people planning their day with a checklist, writers keeping a rough draft, and anyone who needs a quick scratch pad for text, links or ideas. If you have ever wished a notepad would just open and let you write, it is for you.
How your notes are stored
Notes live in your browser on the device you use. That keeps Daily Note fast and private, but it also means notes do not sync between devices, and clearing your browser data removes them. We recommend using File → Backup all now and then to keep a copy. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
